I made a compilation of (almost all) GBF.wiki's April Fools Art Swap references.
Credits toLumos96for the some of the screencaps here. (Please do note that the Expected column are just solely my opinions. If you have any other expectations for the April Fools Art swap of these characters, you might want to share with us here.) Characters:
Lecia's expression with 3 stars on her background (probably a joke as she's the only main story SR character (not counting Rein) without an FLB uncap.)
Lunalu's event portait with a bunch of skill icons on her paper. Said skill icon is "Ground Zero," Sarasa/Threo's notable skill, in which it is notoriously used with Lunalu's Facsimile skill.
An album cover of "#" by the K-pop girlgroup LOONA. The term "stan" is used within the general pop fandom that means "stalker fan." It is mostly used within the K-Pop fandom.
The German government is deciding on a transition period for the iGaming industry.
In several federal states in Germany, discussions are ongoing about a transition phase that would give operators the opportunity to offer online casino services. It is known that the i Gaming industry should be introduced into the legal field from July 2021. According to the representative of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, at this time, the question of how measures to combat illegal gambling can be effectively implemented in the time of the transitional stage. It is known that the Chanceries of Bavaria, Hamburg and Berlin are involved in solving this issue. The revised regulatory model, which is about to be rolled out, is expected to help the online marketplace go beyond sports betting and expand its offerings in new directions. Starting from July next year, online casinos and poker will be available on the market under strict regulation. It is known that bets on slots are capped at € 1 per spin. Also, the organization of table gambling will only be possible with a separate license, the number of which , in turn, is also limited. www.aussiecasino24.com https://preview.redd.it/rjaqbnijnkf51.png?width=1008&format=png&auto=webp&s=e368717e5743d054efe425705e3cfc159993d7ea
A wild MAME 0.215 appears! Yes, another month has gone by, and it’s time to check out what’s new. On the arcade side, Taito’s incredibly rare 4-screen top-down racer Super Dead Heat is now playable! Joining its ranks are other rarities, such as the European release of Capcom‘s 19XX: The War Against Destiny, and a bootleg of Jaleco’s P-47 – The Freedom Fighter using a different sound system. We’ve got three newly supported Game & Watch titles: Lion, Manhole, and Spitball Sparky, as well as the crystal screen version of Super Mario Bros. Two new JAKKS Pacific TV games, Capcom 3-in-1 and Disney Princesses, have also been added. Other improvements include several more protection microcontrollers dumped and emulated, the NCR Decision Mate V working (now including hard disk controllers), graphics fixes for the 68k-based SNK and Alpha Denshi games, and some graphical updates to the Super A'Can driver. We’ve updated bgfx, adding preliminary Vulkan support. There are some issues we’re aware of, so if you run into issues, check our GitHub issues page to see if it’s already known, and report it if it isn’t. We’ve also improved support for building and running on Linux systems without X11. You can get the source and Windows binary packages from the download page.

Captain Kirk and James Bond took all my money. It's true. There were these two slot machines that I frequented while in Vegas and for whatever reason they decided to steal from me. It was the Thunderball and Star Trek machines. And, I gotta tell you, it could have been because I'm not a cyborg or robot or something. I mean, let's face it: these are machines. Don't let the "slot" in front of "machine" fool you. There's nothing innocent about them. But they lure you in because they don't have legs or arms. They simply use YOU to burgle YOU. It's not like I walked into the casino and said "Hey, I want that machine with Captain Kirk wrestling a lizard to take all my money". No. I sat down at what I thought was a friendly machine and it began to rob me using its guile. What else? I don't know, man. I'm still pretty pissed about the slot machines, but I'll go on. We, me and a bunch of high school friends, went down for March Madness. I guess it was a little mad. It wasn't really nutty mad though. Like that movie Saturn 3 that's on Prime right now. Man, that's nuts. Really bad. But I couldn't stop watching, but I'm writing now so - Just a bunch of 30 to 60 year olds gritting their teeth in one last ditch effort to enjoy the dregs of their testosterone. Many were drunk. One guy was running around and hitting my friend in the chops and stumbling all over the casino trying to get cash advances. His name is Doug. Went to high school with him. Another dude, with a gold encrusted ring got 86'd from the casino because he wouldn't answer when security began asking him questions like "Sir, are you alive?". He just stood in a stupor looking at an electronic roulette game. Maybe he had been robbed too? Security was having tons of trouble trying to figure out if he was alive. Which makes sense since it was a room full of machines. AND NO - MACHINES ARE NOT ALIVE NO MATTER WHAT 2001 or other movies tell you. I also saw the remnants of a loogie on a Chinese Fortune slot machine - it was as if the player got so angry at being robbed he did the only thing possible: shot a loogie at the machine. It's not like you can beat up a slot machine. Many have tried in the golden age of Vegas and were simply driven out to the desert by the Gambino family and shot in the face. That lesson has stuck, but it seems there are some revolutionaries who are still fighting back. To Guy in the Stupor and Loogie Man - I commend you! Nobody was making America great again in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is almost the opposite of that old slogan that I saw Bill Clinton use in 1992 the other day on CSPAN. All around was just drunk people spilling drinks, foaming at the mouth, and bitching about having to pay taxes to welfare mothers while driving thousands of dollars into machines that give you a respin bonus if you get enough 007 poker chips, then a chip upgrade if you get more, and then you get to spin the wheel and then you win 35 dollars and think WHY ALL THE POMP FOR JUST 35 BUCKS?! Vegas's saving grace is the food. I was staying at the Park MGM and they had an Eataly. It's that Italian market that fat SOB Batalia...Batalonga...that fat red headed chef from Seattle created. It's great. It almost helps me stomach his chomo visage. The best part is the Lavazza espresso. I was able to get pretty jacked up on that stuff before I started eating marijuana and drinking multiple beers and vodka/whiskey sodas. I would go way up and come crashing down just in time to see one of my idiot friends start up arm wrestling in the bar for money. He lost every time. It was a pretty stupid idea on his part seeing as he must have had some idea how strong his own arms are. I mean, you don't try to lift a car if you weigh 135. But back to the coffee - I also got a canoli. That's Italian for chocolate burrito. It was fantastic. But the eye of the tiger will always be Shake Shack. It's like it's not even a hamburger. It's like some other food group. Shake Shack is, by far, the best burger ever created by mankind. I'm sure this opinion will change when they open one on the Eastside and I get bored of it. But for now - 110% delicious. Back to the slot machines - see I should have seen this coming. They comped my room. The hotel looked at how often I was mugged by these machines last year that they were like "Let's ply him with a free room and room service". Well, it worked. And boy did I use the room service. Every night I would return to my room and order pizza and some fucked up jar of strawberry parfait. It got bad. The staff knew me. The last day, they put a candle in the pizza as some sort of celebration. The only saving grace is that I smoked in their hotel room. Apparently that costs 500 dollars. So, I actually reemed them for 2500, the same amount I lost. So, you can see how I still won. But I'm still irate. Vegas still smells like a dump. It's the sort of smell where you realize everyone in the city is blocked in together within hotel rooms eating massive calories and drinking massive alcohol and having massive dumps that all end up under the street. Did you know the entire New York, New York hotel is powered by feces? Look it up. Three nights was too much and I say that ever year, but it's more of a warning to you. My buddy ended up in the hospital on the last day. He was in his room all day with chest pains. We sent up Pepto and more booze and weed, but nothing was working. We all decided he was probably having a heart attack and then we all went back to gambling. He made it to Seattle and went straight to ER. Turns out he just pulled his pectoral muscle jerking it or something. I stopped listening when I realized he didn't have a heart attack. I'd feel bad if my buddy had a heart attack and I was busy getting WILD bonuses from Klingons attacking the slot machine game board. Which is 100% true and still reads like a fever dream. All in all, Las Vegas is the dumbest thing America has created. Imagine if we created a big city where you went and just everyone shot up heroin for three days and then left all strung out. I mean, technically, that's Seattle, but I mean with more neon.
I used to live in Las Vegas and am very familiar with casinos and gambling. When I lived there, I always patronized Wynn Properties including the Mirage, Treasure Island and later the Golden Nugget when he bought that. I used to get Birthday Cards and had a Slot Host so I was glad that Encore stayed a Wynn property. I got my Inaugural Red Card online over a year ago online. When I brought family members up a few weeks ago they got $50 in free play. I was under the impression that I too could get the $50 in free play if I returned during August. They also said bring loyalty cards from other casinos for possible more free play. No of us got any free play. I was also told that my $50 ended last week. I understand that management can revoke these things at any time and for any reason. I love to play video poker and I noticed today that it says on my quarter machine a sign that said ‘this game is not eligible for free credit’ or something similar. If you have been there, all the restaurants are too expensive to stay for a meal. $20 for a hamburger. Has any one else noticed this change?
ZeroCarb/Carnivore - My Carnivore Story (long post)
I’ve been carnivore for ~2 years after trying a “eat only beef and eggs for 1 week” recommendation, in an attempt to get over a weight loss plateau eating keto. At the end of that week, I thought to myself “I love the simplicity of this, I wonder if this is a thing...” and stumbled into Carnivore. I have come to my personal conclusion that “ZeroCarb” is literally “meat only” whereas “Carnivore” is “anything from the animal kingdom (including eggs and dairy)” but I’ll table that for another post. I went from SAD to keto about 4 years ago. Looking back on keto, I realize I was more focused on trying to substitute keto-friendly versions for typical SAD foods, than I was trying to break bad habits or figure out why I was sabotaging myself. Keto friendly versions of pizza, ice cream, burritos, pancakes, hamburgers, chips... the list goes on and on. Everything was packed with fiber because it wasn’t filling, and sweeteners because it didn’t taste very good on its own. Carbs were the first addiction I challenged myself to overcome. I was a great athlete and ate whatever I wanted up until college without any detriment. In college I made a bunch of friends and I started drinking and partying a lot more. I started smoking “only when I drink” and my friends and I went to the casino a couple times each semester. We basically lived on booze, coffee, ramen, tobacco, and fast food. It was a blast, and I wouldn’t trade those memories for the world. The “freshmen 15” eventually turned into the “senior 75,” no discernible muscle mass, a tobacco habit, a drinking problem, a trail of ex’s, and a difficulty to stop gambling after I sat down at a poker table. I graduated high in my class, landed a job that I still love today, but I found I wasn’t the person I wanted to be anymore. My “work hard/play hard” mantra had caught up with me and I tried figuring out how I could continue that mindset in a 40+ hour week career. Well folks, the answer is you can’t. Or, at least you shouldn’t. Enter...keto. Keto was my first major step in moving back in the right direction. I knew I was a sugar addict, although that was the only addiction I’d admit to at the time. I made friends with the other college hires at work, but never fit in because they were either 1) married and didn’t go out much; 2) were extremely physically active; or 3) went on trips where most people actually only had 1 beer, 2 tops. I definitely felt like a fish out of water. So I became the guy who did his job, quietly lost some weight, and didn’t really talk about it other than “oh, I started eating better...” (as I ate a big ass burrito on a low carb tortilla in the break room by myself). Eventually the weight loss stalled for a long period of time, but at least I could honestly say I was off sugar. The sugar alcohols were like methadone to a heroine habit... they gave me a rush, but at least I wasn’t on the hard stuff anymore. Fast forward to ~2 years ago and after eating beef and eggs for a week, I felt alive again. The only way I can describe how I felt after eating ZeroCarb is that I used to hate waking up in the morning, and I suddenly started looking forward to each day. If that’s depression, I never went to a doctor to get diagnosed, but after that week it was like night and day. I’m not saying I was or wasn’t depressed on SAD or keto, or that Carnivore cured me, but I certainly felt different and in a positive direction after that week. Even coming from keto, making the move to Carnivore wasn’t easy. I went all out and ate steak(s) for every meal weeks 2-4, but soon realized I couldn’t afford to keep that up. Week 4 I switched to a more budget friendly diet of chicken, pork, shrimp, and bacon. At the same time, I started getting spells of being light headed and no longer able to mow my yard without taking a break (granted I have .8 acre to mow, and do it with a push mower to force myself to be outside and exercise). I thought switching from beef to chicken/pork did me in, but I was in a tough spot because I couldn’t afford only steak. With a little digging around, I decided to try supplementing my electrolytes with 1tsp pink salt and 1tsp potassium in the mornings. Welp... a couple hours after the very first time I felt completely rejuvenated. I never had to supplement electrolytes on keto, but realized I needed to on Carnivore. Week five rolled around and I started getting liquid poos like never before. Sure, I had them here and there in the past, but this was like my butt was power washing the inside of the porcelain throne. Come to find out... too much supplementation. Tough lesson learned! Don’t supplement every morning just to do it, only supplement if/when your body tells you to. By the end of week six, I could honestly say I felt like a “normal” person. I could mow my yard in one go again without feeling like I was going to puke and pass out, and poos we’re back to regular. After 6 weeks, all cravings for sweet foods were gone, but I was still drinking too much alcohol and had changed to from cigarettes to dip. Over the course of my first Carnivore year, I started back in the gym, which led to less drinking and less tobacco. After all, why kill your gainz with booze, right? It’s kind of funny how one good habit will have a domino effect into other good habits. I was okay with wasting money on booze, but if I paid for a gym membership, then my butt was going to be in there getting every last penny out of it. Then going to the gym made me not want to drink and dip much anymore. I began dabbling with water fasting, intermittent fasting (IF) and different eating windows. I made the natural progression of 18/6, 20/4, 23/1 (OMAD) and alternate day fasting (ADF). I eventually settled on OMAD as what’s best for me. Over the course of year 2, all my new life choices have developed into an overall new and happy lifestyle. Grocery shopping is simple and straight forward, my dogs love that we’re active outside everyday, co-workers give me shit because we’re friends (not because they’re trying to lecture me), I get a ton of time back not worrying about food, no cravings, and just overall happy when I go to bed at night. Meal prepping on Sunday 5 lunches for the week sure beats cooking 10-15 meals (plus snacks) during the week. Side note: Funny work story... Being keto, I realized I could actually smell the sugar and yeast walking down the grocery store bread isle (the Little Debbie snack cakes are on the same isle). It wasn’t something I ever noticed before. After all, there’s a lot of smells in a Walmart!!! On Carnivore, I began to be able to smell fruit people were eating in other cubicles at the office, kind of like how perfume mist will float through the air. My pod mates didn’t initially believe me, so now we have an ongoing joke that I’ll tell them when I smell a fruit, and what fruit it is, and we’ll walk around the floor to try and find the source. My favorite time was “how the F*CK did you smell someone cutting up an apple 2 pods over??!?” Hahahaha! The nose knows! But, back to it... Carnivore helped me this year to stop drinking in excess because I found ALL my cravings have eventually just faded away. I began realizing one by one since going SAD>KETO>Carnivore all the different things I had become dependent on, just by taking the dietary journey that eventually led me to Carnivore. Once I cut my carb addiction, I became self aware of my other addictions and am now just overall in a better place. I try not to touch any of that stuff anymore, although sometimes I’ll cave during a social celebration to a scotch. I can now look at it as a rare treat, instead of looking forward to several everyday when I get home. Being physicaly active again and craving going to the gym are the two things I’m most thankful to get back after losing that part of my life for about a decade. To all my fellow keto’ers, zerocarbies, carnivores and lurkers... hello from the other side. I love you for both who you are now, and who you can be this time next year. Post your questions (search the sub first for similar questions, please!), share your successes, your food pics, whatever. This is a great community, and I’m happy to have stumbled into this adventure with the lot of you. TLDR: Carnivore changed my life in more ways than one
